How to Put On Your Compression Socks
Compression socks can feel snug at first, but the right technique makes them much easier to put on. Follow these simple steps for the best fit.
1. Turn the sock inside out to the heel.
Reach inside the sock and gently pull it inside out, stopping at the heel.
2. Place your foot inside.
Slide your toes in and make sure the heel of the sock is positioned correctly around your heel.
3. Pull the sock over your ankle.
Gently work the fabric up and over your ankle.
4. Work the sock up your leg.
Gradually smooth the sock upward in small sections instead of pulling from the top.
5. Smooth out any wrinkles.
Make sure the sock sits flat against your leg without bunching, twisting or rolling.
Elecrae Tip: Compression socks are often easiest to put on first thing in the morning, before swelling increases.
